Hello everyone, so i ordered some lowlife auto ak's from the attitude seed bank, and im having some serious problems getting them to germ.

three showed a small taproot, so i planted those and they havent sprouted,
the others are just idleing doing nothing, the seeds are mottled and black, and they are hard so they appear to be fine

i need help please, i dont want to waste this investment. i read what Lowlife said about germing their seeds, but im nervous about physically cracking the seeds open, considering how expensive good genetics are nowadays

anyways, help me out

If you take a set of needle nose pliers or tweasers and align the seam of the seed inside the pliers and gently squeese just till the seed cracks open. Dont try to crack it in half, just crack open one end. Then put them between two damp paper towels, the tap root should emerge. As soon as the root appears plant it root side down.
Ive noticed the seed outer shell on lowryders are very hard.
The seeds I bought I believe were put into a polishing drum to thin the out wall thickness of the seed, making it easier to open.
Another thing you can do is line small box or container with 220 grit sandpaper and shake the seeds inside to remove some of the wall material.
Some seeds crack on there own and very quickly. Some seeds will take a few days to sprout. And some seeds need some assistance.
If you soak the seeds then pre crack them the tap root should emerge within two days, maybe slightly more. You should pre soak the seeds for 12 to 24 hours to make cracking them easier.

From now on I will probably pre crack my seeds just to give the plants a little helping hand.
