cant really tell whats going on in those pictures..they look a bit small to be training yet, should use string instead of zip ties

I love lst!!!
IMO its to small for lst...Give 2 weeks or so and you should be ready to shape it as u please...
heres my tip...Remove those zip ties those are way to heavy duty for that small plant...those zip ties are gonna
be a bitch to adjust and even more of a bitch to remove...Go to your grocery store and steal a bunch of twist ties
for produce...Twist ties are the building blocks of lst...Free, bendable, adjustable, lightweight,strong etc etc...
Instead of making a little hole in your pot to secure the twisty ties, a good idea would be to stetch a rubberband
around the top part of the pot and anchor the twistys to the rubberband...No need for cutting holes or anything...
Also in this stage of your plant you might want to consider FIM or TOP techniques...I FIM one of my girls 2 months ago and i am soooo happy i did...
If i was u i would FIM now and train in about 2 weeks...

This is an autoflower, I don't think he will benefit that much with any kind of training. Even less something like TOP/FIM.

Hey banks just my opinion on your method and to each his own but using anything with metal wire has caused my plants to swallow things meaning this... http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread718837/pg1 lol...and though it's a long shot the paper can mold as well. I would also be worried the rubber band would acquire too much tension over time and come up over the rim, a problem that would suck bad unless i'm visualizing it wrong and you don't actually twist the ties around the band and just set them straight under it but then I would worry one will slip out from branch tension plus then I wonder how they are long enough I would have to link them together? Lol..well anyway I prefer putting holes around the rim of whatever i'm using and tying string in a slipknot so I can loosen or tighten individual branches but again just my preference..I do agree that doing lst on an auto will not really do much but it will help you understand what your going for!

Great looking LST. I trained my auto by just LST the mainstem at day 17 and ended up with 9 colas lol. Good luck man!

Don't listen to peopel who say lst doesnt work on auto's. fimming and topping can be dangerous because if the plant doesnt get set back a couple weeks and recover properly, it might flower way early and give you next to nothing. LST doesn't hurt the plant so it is great. look at the results on this 1 gallon pot automazar from dutch passion
WIre works best for lst in a lot of cases because you can remold it as the branch grows to jeep it at a certain hieight without restringing it up just bend it a bit more here and there and the branch is back where you want it. But yea it looks fine try to make the plant bend at like a 90 degree angle until it his one side of the pot then keep bending it about a quarter way around in one direction and it will get you a handful of tops take a look at this one.

If you use twist ties, it is good to try to use the plastic coated ones, because, as kermit said, the paper on regular twist ties could cause an issue. You can buy a plastic covered roll of twist tie wire at most garden centers. Just one long roll of twist tie that you cut to length needed. I use it and it has never caused me any issues. I do like the rubber band around the top idea though. And a heavy enough rubber band should not stretch and loosen up too soon. You could change em every grow.

Hence the slipknot if you use string so you can adjust it like the metal without restringing...but again its a preference thing completely

ALso with the wire, its strong enough if you get the right one, to not have to wrap the branch. You can jsut hook it aorund to hold it down whish gives the branch alot of room to thicken up in width without getitng cut into by the wire.
