Loupe is a 30x and its going to take some getting used to. Not seeing amber. Not really able to discern clear vs cloudy that well. (Fucking rookie) I can tell you I am seeing some nice coverage and I feel comfortable in waiting a couple days.Hold off until you can check her out under magnification. You are probably in the harvest window but a little longer won't hurt, might help.
I think more time is a good call. I use a 60-100X scope and find the 60X works best for me. I have to adjust the focus a lot to tell the true color. If just a little blurry a clear trichome can look cloudy. So it isn't easy even when you know what you are looking for. That said, the closer they get to 100% cloudy, the easier it gets. So when I have trouble discerning color I sort of just know it needs more time. The ambers of course are easy. I would also be nervous harvesting if I don't see a few ambers here and there.Loupe is a 30x and its going to take some getting used to. Not seeing amber. I bought 3 different ones and I agree. This one is the one you want. If you have never used one of these, like me, it can be confusing at first. You have to put the thing right on the plant in order to see.best loupe you can get![]()
and you got another week 4 sure.
I think the $10 scopes are just fine and inexpensive to replace if they get busted. In the pic your trichomes look mostly cloudy, until you zoom in. Then you can see that many are partly cloudy and some still clear. Not much amber so I would keep her going. What kind of scope...there is a rather inexpensive ($10) that is out there with mixed reviews? Zoom in on the pic above and you get closer than I get with the 30x. I see what seems to be some small % of amber going on. Thurs. night it happens. (Taking Friday off).

I like all those white pistils to recede before i chop. I also gave up counting days a few years ago. they're done when they're done. counting days won't change that.Sheeeeeit....another week.I will be at 70 days on Sunday. Supposed to be a 60-70 day plant though so... Got things lined up to chop Thurs. night but, I am flexible...might see if I cannot get this scope in my hands quick.

lots of people make them, ebay has them for $5...I was envisioning your reply even as I was typing my post. Ha. What is the brand name of that scope?
There is NO WAY to tell if a plant is ready from a picture. There is no real way to tell for sure without a scope.
Anyone who thinks they can tell you if your plant is ready from a picture is someone you DO NOT listen to, so even asking people to look at a picture and tell you is completely off base. Anyone who knows anything knows it is not possible.
