Looking to process popcorn

Hi

I have about 4-5 ozs of left over popcorn that's frosty as fuck. I'm trying to figure out a away to put it to good use other than smoking the flower

Is it possible to freeze it in a freezer and shake it in a bubble bag ? Without dry ice because the nearest place to get is a 4hour round trip

You could just freeze water and use your bubble bags for ice water extraction. Shaking fresh frozen straight from freezer seems like it might work for all of 15 seconds lol, then it'd be a messy mush.

Use can use butane, IPA, or alcohol (everclear, ethanol) too, but good bubble is tough to beat imo. :bigjoint:

It's bone dry crushy buds the last time I tried the ice water method I made a complete shit show of it and wasted a load of buds :-(

Lol well that sucks. Imo I'd still say ice water extraction. Its ok if the buds are dry, you may get more contaminant but it'll still work.

You could try your quick shake method first and finish off with ice water? Check out the hair straightener rosin presses, just YouTube it, that might be a good solution for your specific conditions too.

I'm going to try freezing it and putting in a few bolts also chilled to as low as my freezer will go shake and see what comes out it full of plant stuff I'll borrow the wife's hair straightener and make ghetto rosin

Use your 220 bag to do first shake. Then run the kief through 160 bag for purity. Then press that kief. If your material is dry then no point really in freezing it and no need for bolts in bags, you want lowest amount of plant material as possible to fall through 220 bag.

dry it freeze it shakeit thur a 120mic silkscreen,whats left on screen goes to rso

Dry sieve, would be a good solution to high grade the mixture, though raking it over the sieve might generate less dust than shaking. Your yield would ostensibly be around 50% before you started to pick up excessive plant matter.

Freezing makes the trichome shafts more brittle and easier to fracture off the heads.

Extracting the balance with a polar solvent might be challenging, as there is nothing to freeze and hold the chlorophyll in place.

Non polar would work better, which leaves clarified butter, vegetable oils, and the Alkanes.
