Looking to get back in to growing.

If you do a sog you can get about a lb per 600 watt light pretty easily. I've found about 20 sog plants under a 600 you can get about an oz off of each depending on strain, vegging etc. I'd do flood and drain table if it were me, and I have done this before.

yeah I'm thinking 2 x 600 watts. I don't know anything flood and drain table D: is it easy? I've only done soil before. The strain will be Serious Seeds White Russian and I'd like to use Dyna Gro if possible if those are still the best for hydro?

I've grown that strain, and use those nutrients. Flood and drain is probably the least maintenance. It basically just floods the tray with the pots in it a couple time a day with the nutrient solution, and there is tubes that just automatically dump it back in the reservoir. The thing about sog that is great is you can really maximize your yield on strains that normally don't yield well. I personally wouldn't grow white Russian again, but that's me. I think kush is very good stuff. There is a reason why it is crossed with everything. People love it, it looks good, smells crazy, but it doesn't normally yield the best.

Yep, just need a tray. It can be one of the cement mixer tray things from home depot. some silicone, pvc, a 200ish gph pump, some tubing, pots, a table, your medium, and that's about it.

Not everyone is pimpin' and able to pull bad ass hydro setups out their asses like you and I can Tav!

well I've got like 4-5k to spend on this so I really do want the best for a 4 x 8 tent. What advantage does table flood have over aeroponics? What initially attracted me to aeroponics was how much faster it's supposed to be over anything else

Could you recommend a brand kush please? Serious Seeds is the only brand I've ever really known. They have the best quality from my experience.

I assume if you're doing a SOG you will be growing from clones. The thing with some of these newer kushes is they can be unstable not cuz they are kush, but companies don't spend a ton of time stabilizing their genes it seems.), and herm if stressed too much. That being said there are tons of good ones from, cali connection, og rascal, and um dna genetics, reserve privada, etc. Some to look at is OG 18, sour kush/headband, Tahoe, etc. All those companies have god kush strains. Another good strain for sog is grapegod from next generation seeds. It finishes fast, and is stable. If you're real concerned with stability I can recommend different strains. I think the fems are generally the only ones having real issues with herming. If you can keep on top of the PH and don't stress the shit out of them you should be ok, but it happens...

hmmm Reserva Privada... I remember having really bad luck trying to pop those seeds. I think I went like 0/12 doing it the same way I popped 22 serious seeds white russian

I honestly didn't have great success with my reserve privada strains, but I'm pretty sure it was because my grow room was way too hot.

so could you help me pick out a flood table please? :D So far I have this -> http://www.greners.com/i/hydroponics/components/trays-flood-tables/flood-table.html

and I guess I need this? -> http://www.greners.com/i/hydroponic...azy-drain-multi-res-reservoir-100-gallon.html

or do you know of a already put together 4 x 8 table or maybe 2 4 x 4s ? Honestly I'm horible at building stuff so I don't mind buying a complete system. Also, I guess with this i would grow in rockwool correct? thanks for all your help

That 8x4 should work well. I just put mine on like a foldable picknick table thing, and then put the res underneath. If you want plants flowering at different stages you're going to want two 4x4s rather than one 4x8 though. I'm using rockwool now, I used to use hydroton, or clay pebbles. The thing with clay is that you have to rinse it, and then its also heavy as hell. I'm using grodan grow chunks. Their like 1"x1" little rockwool cubes. I wouldn't buy that hydro res imo. If you could get an old 55 gallon aquarium and paint it black or something that would be way cheaper.

ok last question sorry! so I bought a GrowLab 145L which is about 5 x 10 and 2x 1000 watt which I'm going to air cool. How many plants should I put under them to maximize yield and what size rockwool should I use? thanks again!

Go DWC. KISS. Trust me.
