Looking to form an RI-Based Consortium

I'm just trying to learn more and maybe help others in my local area. The group would set the direction for the group once it is established.

Not to sound uptight but you can't screen the people at RIPAC and I've met some pretty questionable characters there. I've met some cool people too but still...

it is what it is I did a group a while ago people seem to be on and off the boards. RIPAC's cool I like the fact theres somewhere with a real legal connection. Meaning I like being informed. The people are nice shit I havent been in 6 months now that im thinking of it.

Screen as in determine who I'd like to associate with based on a number of factors. This is more for security reasons than anything else - family and home protection and like many others, I work in a corporate environment and can't risk the reputational damage. I sat at one meeting and people were like exchanging addresses and other personal information and discussing their operations and yields and stuff right in the open. It might be legal but it still isn't completely socially accepted and it isn't safe to attend public forums and blab your mouth to the general public.

Go read up on home invasions related to cannabis home grow operations. If you do it in your home with love ones living there it's enough to make you think twice about this stuff.

And sorry to you pacifists and gun haters out there but it's enough to make you buy a couple more guns and take your wife to shooting classes as well.

Now I understand what you mean. There are many many people at ripac meetings that I would not associate with and that's fine. You can pick and choose to who and what information you give, but i do understand exactly what you mean. There are however many great and dedicated people at ripac. They work very closely with the AG's office and legislators so I trust their information on laws etc. more than an Internet forum.

Now a Ripac patient meeting, not the community open meeting, is open to patients and caregivers only so it is not a public forum and they are not the general public. It is a place for patients to network and exchange ideas, who you talk to and give info to is up to you. A ripac meeting is the one place that it is socially acceptable to speak freely with other patients without fear which is kind of nice. It's not the ripac regulars that are doing the robbing so I would not worry about that, just keep it discreet and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the input and I understand the patient meeting is closed-door but it's still somewhat of a public forum and the plastic doesn't change the person. Gang-bangers and thugs have cards too and the average people who attend have mouths ROFL. I wasn't looking for "let's get together in person", at least not at first. I'm just trying to drum up local support outside of my immediate circle without going to RIPAC and opening myself up to danger or liability that is outside of my control.

...how much growing experience do you have bro? ...i'd be happy to offer any help if i can but being part of an organized group is too regimented for me, i've been to a few of those meetings myself and i was unimpressed, and they offered basically no help with getting a card so i just walked away, ...i've been in the shadows for a LONG time and being invisible has kept me safe so i'm still on the fence about getting my recommendation.

...anyway, if you need growing advice i'd be happy to share my experience with you.

...just so you know though, i'm not a commercial operator, i started out in this hobby to save money and to improve the quality of my smokables because back then i was buying and smoking mids and i wanted better.

...i started out with CFLs and quickly progressed to a high-density micro-SOG with many small plants and my grow has evolved over the last several years until now i only run 8 plants at a time around a single 600 and it's so freekin' easy it almost runs itself.
