Looking for something old, stable, that won't herm on me.

So I got some bad genetics recently. I thought it was an environmental problem - their mom hermed, and those are the seeds I used. She went through some stress though so I wasn't worried about it. I don't have a lot of experience buying from seedbanks. I've only ordered from one the past 15-20 years and that didn't work out very well. These seed banks work like this: A breeder sells their seed to the seedbank, then the seedbank sells it to the customer. Right? It's confusing. Because then there are the breeder shops, that breed and sell their own seed.

I'm looking for older, proven feminized genetics that won't go hermie on me. If you guys could throw out some recommendations, I'll take a look at each one carefully. I understand that any plant can herm, but you guys know what I mean. I also know that feminized are said to be more predisposed to herming. but it's a space issue.

There's just too many choices, so some input would be great.
Thanks

Anyone have any experience with i <3 marijuana? I've read great reviews. I'm looking at their Indina bubblegum fem. I always admired B.O.G and his wifes work. Never had the pleasure of trying it though. However, I know that BOG doesn't produce fem seeds, does he?

World of seeds has a pakistan valley kush , A true landrace ibl I've been running for a bit now. Impressive all around. Seeds are cheap too , I've run several WOS genetics and they're all legit. Was gonna provide a link but RIU got gay about links since I last posted. I use original seed store "previously ossc"

EDIT southern oregon seeds might still have bubblegum, I hit up chris and he sent me a pack free with an order, It's the real deal bubble gum, The only one I've ever had closer to that was TH Seeds , which along with sangarmatha were the originals....

If you lived in N Mi I'd give you a clone of it ......

Thank you guys! A few more. I want to get to ten, then narrow it down. I do like a hit by train indicia feeling mixed with a sativa feeling later on. Has to be hybrid. After lights, pots, I have about 4 feet of growing space. 25 sq ft. otherwise. I want to grow Tangie. I know shes a leggy one. But so delicious.

Tangie is a great genetic to start with, it's a moderate to difficult plant to grow due to it's size and it also doesn't like high nutrient levels (can burn easily) but if you got the space and the skills it's one of the best smokes around. I'm chopping two tangie plants today they smell like straight tangerine zest, very frosty , tallish plants.

Tangie is a strong sativa tho you won't get much indica effects from her, at least the phenos i have grown have all had a strong sativa high. Makes you happy and energetic.

I know you said you only want fems due to space but if you are in a 5x5 that's more space than I have and I run mostly regs. Its not a space thing its a time thing imo.
Hey higher self. Thanks for chiming in. I plant in final pots from seed and Ill be going back to 7 gallon containers. I could fit 10 in there. But it'd be really, really tight come time to sex them. I know there are ways to sex early. But I dont want to have to do that. ill also be vegging for 7-8 weeks. Hope that clears things up a bit.

In my experience. Fem seeds tend to have more Herm issues. I have never had a Herm using reg seeds. You just have to start enough to get make sure you get enough females. I will not be doing any more FEMs in the future.

Hey, thanks for the offer. Unfortunately, I don't get to go through the summer with my windows open and no AC unlike SOME people :)

Ace and Cannabiogen have a great selection of old school strains both feminized and regular. I've seen a feminized panama that was beautiful with a great tropical smell.

Exotic and Seed Junky... not two companies known for “stable” gear as OP asked lol.

OP if you want old school feminized that are easy and stable Nirvana is a solid company. Not world beaters and not gonna make the Girl Scout/hype fans of today drool but their Widow is awesome and the rest of their lines are pretty solid and have been worked for years. Not a whole lot of stability in the American market. Sannies Shop is another reputable breeder of worked, fem lines.

Sensi doesn't send to the states, do they? I wanted to go through them to begin with, but it was a hassle. I can get their genetics through a reseller, but how doI know they're sensi seeds and not just imitations?

Figured exotic would have been called out, that’s why I recommended the F2 should be pretty stable. Never personally had heard any problems over Seed Junky (haven’t read thread on RIU)
And to bash on American cannabis breeders in general is a bit ridiculous bud, a lot of serious US breeders.

Since your a stickler most of those genetics aren’t even feminized.

Here OP Feminized Breeders:
•Oni
•In House
•Jaws
•Memphisito
•Pieces Genetics
•Thug Pug
•Cannarado
•Ripper Seeds

US Seedbanks:
Oregoneliteseedseeds
Seedsherenow

I personally am a fan of true breed programs. I understand the spacing concern. If it was me I’d buy a true breed plant and make my own feminized seeds with silver. Fem genetics could be expensive if you can’t run clones and have to keep restocking your seeds stock. Silver allows for controlled pollination to selected budsites without the risk of flowering out a male. That would allow you to SOG and move through veg to flower as quickly as possible with space constrictions. As well your initial invested time on making the seeds would still result in produced product w/o seeds.

F2s are less stable than the F1. It’s more inbred so higher chance of deleterious recessive showing up. They’re also going to have significantly more variation in phenotypes.

Seed Junky has had huge herm problems. His shit is super fire and I am not saying people shouldn’t grow it, but you should be expecting at least a couple herms if you’re popping a pack.

You’re right. I don’t know why I was thinking that.

I wasn’t aware of the seed junky problem. My bud apparently has amazing luck.

I guess cross Tina F2 if your not feeling the risk. I’m ordering a pack of the Top Dawg Stardawg F2 so it’s a preference thing
