Looking for Soil Assistance

Hello growers,

I am currently planning a massive grow (in my view) of a hundred pounds. I plan to grow 60 plants commercially to produce 46,000 g or 102 lbs.

I plan to use GHS Arjan's Haze #1, GHS Church, Sweet Seeds Ganesh Spirit, Sweet Green Poison, and Sweet Seeds Black Jack. I will grow 6 plots of ten spread along the countryside. Unfortunately, I am worried about soil, nutes, etc. I am hoping to grow as organically as possible.

I've heard good things about Fox Farm so what soil mix would you suggest? Would I germinate with light warrior then transplant into ground with a 2-1 mix of ocean forest and light warrior? What nutes should I use? Should I use anything for strengthening roots? When flowering should I use molasses potash or something similar?

This is going to be my largest grow to date so I trying to plan everything to a tee. Any and all information is helpful and much appreciated!

Are you kidding man? Not be a dick but I don't see how anyone can have so many noob questions when they are planning to grow over a hundred pounds...

If you want to plan everything "to a tee", do some damn research, gain some fucking experience... why on earth would you buy FF is you want to grow out 60 plants along the countryside? Learn organics, learn the soil food web...

What you are explaining isn't something foxfarm is designed for, foxfarm isn't actually for farms ... in fact, talk to a farmer, learn from someone who tends to massive crops and go from there, if you go the way you are planning, you are going to end up spending tons of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$... keep in mind, you'll be growing in the Earth, not in pots so why do you want to buy potting soil?

Hopefully I'm not being too rude, and you see where I'm going with this... you'll get A LOT more help if you're on the right track...

First things first: how exactly is the soil/dirt you are working with? Is it soft, dark, clayish, sandy, etc...? Answering this question can help other organic-heads with discerning what you need..

Some things you ACTUALLY want to use for organics: soil/microbial inoculates, maybe some regional humus if there is a forest or such around, manures from local animals which should be affordable, get some dolomite lime to help with the pH...

The most important thing in organics isn't what brand you are using, it's how well the soil and the life in the soil is tended to and fed. Get the soil alive: till it, add the animal manures, let it "cook", there are many things you should do to prepare the soil and if you've done well enough you shoudln't have to buy any "nutes" and water (maybe molasses if you really want) is all you'll need.

Happy New Year, and like I said, if you're on the right track you'll get lots of helpful advise here :D

I grow in pots, and my soil is a base of promix with added kelp, soft rock phosphate, earth worm castings, dolomite lime, and if needed I add guano. But there is huge difference from containers and growing in the ground. Don't buy bags of soil, period. You can get some fertilizers, like kelp meal for instance, and use it for the plots.. same with manure or decomposed vegetation...

How is the soil you are working with? What are the areas like?

My soil is rocky and compact with clay and mud clumps. It is workable it just needs the right ingredients. As for the sites in particular I am still scouting, by far they are the most important part so I am being very picky with them.

What strains do you work with normally?

Reserva privada's OG, dna lemon skunk are the strains I know best, but I'm running quite a few right now that I haven't normally used... headband (sour kush), strawberry cough, blackberry...

Get some dolomite lime, and gypsym and add that as you till the soil. The gypsym I use outdoors (veggie garden not MJ) loosens compacted/clay soil, some greensand would also help...
