here's the set-up...
1000 Watt switchable balast, so 1000 MH for veg, then 1000 HPS for fruit
Medium is a "soiless" mix (which looks just like soil, lol). But using 2 gal grow bags with a mixture that is 2 parts Pro-Mix & 1 part Fafard #3B. Add to that 1 or 2 handfuls of Perlite. So there ya have it. I woulda like to have used more perlite but just didn't have it on hand when i needed it.
So when I make the soil to transplant I used a drop of superthrive & about 1 TBSP of Botanicare's "Pure Blend 'Pro Grow' ". to a gallon of water. I think i probably over saturated the water because w/ fans on the soil still doesn't seem like it dry enuf to water again, even though the room I think is warmer than it should be (i don't have thermometer yet). So that's why i think they were over watered, +they had standing water in the trays the whole next day after watering.
The think is.... despite the soil being wet I think the larger ones are showing some signs of a N-deficiency. The larger ones are already almost 12" tall. Unfortunately, couldn't get everything @ once so while some are 12" after being transplanted 1 week ago (they were very late in being tranxplanted) a few others are still 2"-3" tall & yet to be put in 2 gal. bags.
So like I said, they don't look like they are ready for watering yet because the soil is still moist just under the surface, but I suspect they are starving for N a little bit. Then again the yellowing & browning of the lower leaves could be normal due to shock from transplant? I've also heard that it is normal for a clone to lose all it's leaves that it had when it was cut?
So I'm thinking I need to use more Nutes/a stronger solution. & put less water on them this time so they don't go so long between waterings.
But is "Superthrive" & "Pure Blend Pro Gro" enough? Should I be using other nutes also or should i be using different nutes alltogether (well i'm pretty sure the superthrive is good to use 1 drop for the entire cycle, right?) ?
I'd love to hear what other ppl have had success with Nuteswise using a similar growing medium. Or any good advice from experienced indoor growers.
