Looking for ideas

the other day I stumbled across 3 of these....

I would like to use them for side lighting in my tent but have no idea what I could possibly hook up to these or if it would even be worth it.

Any pointers would be much appreciated!
 
there's quite a few things they could be used for but your questions i very open ended. What do you want? COBs? Supplementals?
 
From the driver specs I would take Samsung(179lm/w) or Bridgelux(156lm/w) strips.
Samsung H-Series strips use the same 561c diodes like QB's. 179lm/w @ 22,5v/480mA(1200mA max.), 3000k
Bridgelux EB-Series strips are 156lm/w @ 22,5v/700mA, 3000k(1400mA max.)
2 strips in series needs ~45v and 4 of these "2 strip strings" in parallel would drive them each at ~175-500mA.

And strips are well suited as sidelight and they are really easy to cool. All you need to do is to mount them on a small piece of alu sheet, no thermal grease, no fans... available in 1, 2 and 4ft.

That sounds like a pretty decent idea!

Yupp, I've added a few links to digikey, but you need to change the languge for prices in $US. The Bridgelux are a lot cheaper but less efficient. @500mA maybe 160lm/w

Kind led makes flower bars that I use for supplemental side lighting, I just wouldn't recommend their other products

No unfortunately not, you can only use their bar, with a daisy chain you can hook up ten of their light bars. With a combination of macro and micro light spectrums for both flower and veg they're pretty awesome. I just use two of the macro flowers for side light, it sets my resin off the charts though, I can barely brush up against my plants without having resin sticking to me like glue, it starts to get annoying my shirt will be glued to my arm

Hmm... sounds like they work decent but I think you missed the point of my question ;)

I'm with Random. Sling some strips on them and add as side lighting. You can really boost your yield with some low-slung SMD strips. Cheers
