OK guys I'm trying to find a good microscope 100x minimum that will connect to my abdroid galaxy phone!
I want something with a clear picture and be able to zoom in and out at least to 100x preferable 150x! Only other thing I really would like a stand so I don't have to worry about shaking! Also would like to pay less than 100!

Good luck..! I own everything including one of those portable microscopes (I think it's 60 to 120 zoom) and doesn't matter I have a mild tremor in my hand and I can barely see my trics regardless what I use.

What Ive come to do is take a small Bud that would be from the ripest section, cut it put it down flatish and then I can focus in on it ..been trying to figure this out for 3 years and that's the only way that I can do it now and going forward, good luck and I hope this info helps!

*wanted to add that I mainly use my cheap illuminated 30 x 60 Jeweler's loupe, not my zoom lens or portable microscope very much at all

I just ordered the slightly pricier one with the WIFI box and phone suction cups. I'm in Canada so the unit you linked to wasn't eligible for free shipping and the shipping would make my total cost higher than buying the pricier one that gets free shipping.

Should have it by Friday and looking forward to exploring a whole new world. :)

I don't really need the WiFi thing I wonder if the quality is the same on both?
Same scope just some extra accessories. Was a few bux cheaper for the extra for me to get the cost up high enough for free shipping Would have been $4 more for the cheaper unit with shipping added in. We use a wifi LAN setup so have wifi going.

If I can just plug it into my phone and use it in the grow room I'll be a happy camper. :)

Finally got around to fixing my USB scope to get better focus abilities as the included stand sucks!

I got this one, Link to Amazon listing.

Jiusion Wireless Wifi Box Compatible with iPhone iPad Android Phone Tablet, Micro USB/USB to WiFi Converter for USB Digital Microscope Endoscope Borescope Mini Magnification Camera

The scope can be plugged into my desktop or by using the Wifi box you plug it into the box then turn that on and change your phone's wifi to it and it sends the pics to your phone. You need the software from them to get that to work. Without the wifi box the scope can plug into an Android phone and any scope software can be used.

At higher magnification or even it's lowest it's damn hard to hold it steady enough to get good focus and the included stand has no fine vertical adjustment so it was getting frustrating as hell. This one goes from 40X - 1000X but there's no indication in the software as to what actual magnification you are at. Another annoying lack but I don't know if more expensive ones do that either tho something for labs surely would. I have a calibration sheet but haven't got around to trying that out to see how it works.

After mulling the situation over for a few days I came up with this idea. The base is not much larger than the insert at the top of my tripod where the camera attachment snaps in after you screw it to the bottom of your camera. 5 minutes with the bench grinder to trim a bit off here and there and it fits in nice and now I can use the lift on the tripod to raise or lower the scope to get it in focus easily.

The camera mounting base that snaps onto the top of the tripod.

The included scope base after alteration. Just one big grind on the one side and 3 tiny grinds at each 90 degree point from that to get it to fit. The thread at the top of the scope base is the exact same size as the threads that screw into the bottom of the camera so if it had a solid base they could have made the same hole in the bottom and it could just screw right on. Or I could have drilled and tapped it to fit with tools I have on hand but it's hollow inside like most cheap Chinese stuff.

Sitting on the tripod.

All mounted up.

The nasty mites that have infested my garden. The mite egg on the right shows the reflection of the 8 LED lights around the scope lens. F'ers are all over the place now. Looks like I'm going to be harvesting early and making a lot of honey oil. Day 51 of 12/12 now.

Trichs from some 2 year old Northern Mist. See how amber they are now and I cropped when there was no amber just mostly cloudy trichs. Proof they go amber after the harvest too so no need to wait weeks extra in the grow room for amber trichs.

Some current OG#18 trichs at 4 weeks flowering.

A fun toy at $50 from Amazon.ca. The scope without the wifi box was only $30 but had to be $35 for free shipping and would have cost $54 if I paid for shipping so I got the wifi one for $4 cheaper and it came to our local post office on the day they said it would about 4 days after ordering. Good enough! :)

Is that already a few ambers on the og #18?
Looks like it but there's always a few on most plants. Some of the earliest ones are older and getting ripe but there's so few. I've got some older OG#18 so will grab a pic of one of those buds to see how it may have ambered up since it's harvest almost a year ago on the 14th of June.

Planning to go down tomorrow and use the phone to get pics of the trichs on a few of the plants that are starting to look close to harvest. I may just strip most of the branches off the plants that aren't so ripe to just keep the best and least bug infested until fully ripe. Everything else can be made into oil. I've got lots of keif to mix with it and make some nice hash.

Get those plants out then toss a bug bomb in the room and let it sit for a few days before cleaning it up and getting some bug-free plants in there. Time to resort to chemical warfare! :D

Some amber beginning at the base of a lot of the glands on one bud. Still mostly clear tho with no cloudiness. These are mostly buds from lower down on the plant to as the stuff with real bag appeal is long gone. :)

A different bud had more amber in it tho still a lot of clear ones. It's a nice relaxing strain.

A pic of the keif I made with some of the same OG#18 trim back then. Only a 180 micron screen so you can see lots of stalks and bits of plant material in it. Helps bind the oil when I make hash with it.
