Looking for advise! Mites or deficiency or both?

I have a beautiful lady that is showing signs of necrosis and yellowing of the leaves. There really is no pattern to it. Meaning it is very sporadic. Some young leaves, some old, some high, some low. This strain is blue dream and it has been vegging indoors with proper ventilation. I have not seen any evidence of pests as of yet and never dealt with mites before. Soil shows no signs of gnats. Are these leaves showing early signs of mites and also a calcium deficiency? Any suggestions would be great!

It doesnt look like a deficiancy to me, deficiancies usually show with yellowing of the leaves. If anything, you have some burnt tips showing signs of over feeding. Also if you have bugs youll be able to see them. Grab your 420 scope or magnifying glass and check the plant over like a doctor does. It kinda looks like thrips to me, but it could be mites too.
 
Good call. It does have an appearance of thripes too, but the yellowing of the leaves and necrosis- leaving the leaves to eventually fall off has me stumped. Thanks for your help
 
Look under the leaves. There should be obvious damage from the pest.
Either way, couldn't hurt to hit it with some neem oil or capsaicin, or both. And pluck the bad leaves.

Ya, i hit it with some neem oil a few days ago, but still signs of progression. Thanks!

Are you watering with straight tap water? Could be locking out. I mix rain water with well water, or tap water that's sat out a couple days. Try to flush and dial back on nutes a bit and see if it progresses.

Could also look into root stress. That's a pretty small pot to be supporting a tree. Maybe root bound really bad.

That was my task this weekend was to transplant it into a 65 gallon earth pot. However, with it being already stressed, i hesitate to do so until whatever is going on clears up. I have been using tap water and i let it sit out over night inside. The height is about 7'4'' and roughly 4'5'' wide, which is pretty wide for a 20 gallon pot. You might be onto something too- possibly the yellowing. Hmm. Would you transplant it given the situation currently?

With extreme caution, yea. Considering that may well be the cause. Before you do, research root bound plants and consider that you may have to do something to untangle the roots to ensure that your roots don't continue to twist. The fabric pots should prevent this.

I got cherry pie x chem in a 10 gal smart pot, and it's VERY rigorous. It seriously looks like a shrub.

Nice, ya those pots work excellent and are super cheap and really helps get oxygen to those roots for to promote growth! I have never vegged a plant for a while indoors then transferred outdoors- kind of a trial run. Can't wait until summer is over to how it turns out. I am hoping i can get 2+ lbs off of her to keep me mellow for the next year. Those are great strains you have there!
