Looking for additional HPS

Hey everybody, I am currently running a 400w hps but have noticed in a few weeks I will be needing another one. I would like a 600w but I am concerned about heat; I run 77 degrees lights on, 68 degrees lights off. My space is 2.5'w x 7'L x 7.5' H. I have good ventilation (box fan, additional fan, 4" exhaust leaving the house.) What would you guys do, go for a 600 or 400? Also, I don't have alot of money to spend like my first investment, do you know of any good places with decent prices? Thanks much.

on another note if you go with htg they price match so for example:

insidesun.com has the 400w hps kit for 99.99 usd
while htg has theirs for 119.99 usd

so call or email and try to see if you can get it for 99.99 good luck.........

I asked for the rollitup discount and got 5% off....so pretty much shipping. Took a bit to get it from HTG but it was the day after thanksgiving so needless to say they were busy.

BTW the "rollitup" discount does not exsist....im just a cheap bastard and will get free shit anywhere i go. Might wanna give it a try, but you would have to call them.

lol, nice. The situation is I started with 9 in my closet and ended up with 7 females (what are the odds of that happening again.) I want to get the most out of them, so I really think I need an additional HPS. The 400 I have is working real well, they are getting huge. The space they take up is 2.5'w x 4'L. What do you guys think, just keep with my 400w or add an additional?

more light = more weed dude, get a 600 if you can i jsut picked on up the other day they rock but the bulbs are crazy expensive $100 each but for 200 more watts you get double the light you'd have pretty much the exact same amount of light with 2 400's as 1 600

thats up to you bud...i set up a 600w MH/HPS with 4 cfls going and im happy. I could run up to 10 plants or more with it im sure....but i dont.

would go for the 400w if I were you, or you might find yourself having major temp problems.

you will also have to upgrade the size of your in line fan in all probability, aswell as increasing the fresh air feed into the grow room.
