Looking for a correct reflector for a 2x2x5 space

I can't seem to find a small enough reflector to fit in my 2x2x5 tent. I'm running a 400w CMH. I prefer to have an open reflector.. does anyone have any links for me? All the reflectors I find are too big, and I'm not sure about the light foot print stuff...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The bat wing style reflectors from HTG supply will fit into your footprint. They are an American company. The 400 watt bat wing style reflector they offer is 14" long x 13" wide . Taking into consideration the height of your room and the angle of light deflection from the hood itself, this reflector would be good for you. A little off topic but let me get to you before you start building out. Before you do anything, make sure you have a great ventilation set up. Because of the small cubic foot volume of your room , a 400 will really heat things up in there (I'm going off topic but stay with me just in case you didn't consider this already) so just remember that the smaller a room gets the more ventilation it will need for the same amount of heat sources it has.

You could also buy a pack of pebbled finish 95% reflective German aluminum from Sunlight Supply. It costs about 150 USD + shipping and it is quite easy to DIY 4 bat wing style reflectors with this sheet aluminum, with a little help from a DIY sheet metal bender made from 2-2x2 handi panels of plywood and a half length of piano hinge (and a few sheet metal screws and drywall screws ; also a jig saw and cordless drill , don't forget the stainless steel music wire and 16 gauge barrel crimp sleeves). For the size of reflector you need, you would probably be able to make 8 of theses fixtures with one pack of that sheet metal.

i know you said open, but a cooltube (mine atleast) is 21"long i use a 600watt cooltube in 21x26in, will easilly fit down to 21 all the way around

ahhh i cant edit but i should have mentioned, the glass is 21" the inlet and outlet not included(i keep them outside my cab)

Thank you guys for the help. Reason I want an open reflector is I've read the glass reduces some of the spectrum/uv light? I don't know, I'm no expert.

It does a tiny bit but a 400w in such a tiny space will counter that without effort. A 400w will do 4'x4' so in a 2'x2', you are golden. I would say Mylar the roof and have either a perspex tube or if you can control the temps and plants, open bulb. Would recommend the tube though, grab one off ebay. Summer sucks ass for controlling temps.

they have 5ft heavy duty zippers in the sewing/fabric section, anyone know where to get bigger? or the kind with tape backing... deciding on swapping my magnetic seal in my darkroom for a zipper, 9ft or so

You really want a cooltube in that space. You can get one that's 19", I'm in a 2x2x4 with a 400W in a cooltube and it got really tight with a stretchy plant in there. The open reflector with an extra foot of space would be similar I think.

I think i would honestly drill a couple holes in a wing reflector and hang a pc fan by a short chain, blowing on top the bulb, leaving it open. I just feel like it would be most optimal that way opened with no glass between plant and light.
