Long lost friends

Have a strain you just loved growing but lost her for some reason?
I used to grow this great white shark from a clone that was given to me by a friend. I kept a mom and we grew her cuts for years. The smoke was skunky, hashy and a little bit of an earthy woody smell to it. She ALWAYS produced great buds that were dripping with resin. Tough to find a legit source for greenhouse seeds here in Canada. I don't want some stock thats been sitting around for who knows how long. Or if it's even legit and not some knockoff company pawning off bagseed.
Well the vault hooked me up and I can't be happier thanks to the crew there.
Took a while to get here but nevertheless it arrived. Now I know greenhouse seed co is kinda meh but I hope I can find a pheno similar to the one I loved so muchIMG_20210705_171306.jpg

Amafu's poison. Never got a cut so I'm having to phenohunt. But it's was Durban Poison x Scheherazade. I've got Durban on its way, direct from Dutch Passion. I just haven't located a reasonable Scheherazade.

Old sensi star or white Russian
I haven't heard anyone else mention Sensi Star. Years ago I had a few freebies and only one made it, but I fell in love with the plant. I can't remember the terp profile, but I remember they plant had a perfect structure and the buds were little Christmas trees. The high was very mellow and pleasant. I kept the whole plant to myself and always brought it up as one of my favorites.

This past year I ran Gold Gushers (Sensi Star x Gushers x Malawi) from Cannarado, mainly for the SS. Sadly the Malawi dominated the phenos and lead to a bunch of wonky plants.

Mine was 2002-03. Bought from some advertiser in high times for alot. Tasted like pine and pennies, had a stench that's still unmatched within my grows. Had super strong effects, like knock out gas. Smoked with many, anytime of the day...always ended with waking up hours later. On couches, in cars, picnic tables at the park... knockout gas

The white Russian was like crack, you could feel the effects after just the 2nd hit. Tasted great and hard core rang the bell.

Last winter I did a Jordan of the islands sensi star, it was a great plant that I wish I kept too but I was on the hunt for something specific at the time.

The legendary Paradise Seeds Sensi Star original

Ì heard Paradise reworked/tweaked/updated their strains a good few years ago.
We've grown out a couple of pack of Sensi Star since but never found anything special.

The only other 'Keeper' so far has been RQS Royal Gorilla - their version of GG#4, had it around 4 years now.
Can't get a cut of The Original GG#4 here.
I've 2 x S1 Original GG#4 Seeds in early veg now to see how it compares.

NL5 Haze x Sensi Star is a good one. I have a plant I am taking care of now.

For me I am searching for a strain that I know I will never find. Only one person had it around the area and they disappeared.
And that strain would be....?
Ya there's a few of those. Been looking for a roadkill skunk for quite some time now. Some come close but nothings hit the nail on the head quite yet. I still have some promising contenders to try but thats winter projects

Snowcap is the one I was thinking of.

There are quite a few like you said though.. I can think of a handful from around the same time

Michoacán from 1974, best I've ever smoked.

That's a lovely plant. Why do you think it's Michoacán?
Why thank you very much. I appreciate that. Will rub her leaves and let her know you said that.

I collect Mexican variety and old Sativa. This one in particular is known as Sierra Madre. So it's only part Michoacán.
I just found it bazar that you have a taste for it I was looking at my plant.

Guerrero Green x Michoacán GPB AKA Sierra Madre. Leaning toward the Michoacán Heirloom from Snow.

Pollen is a reject this round so this pheno is going for smoke. It pains me.
I was really excited. Still am really excited but now I need another 14+ weeks, you know..
Rather put them outside but have been in a pinch all year and they get real big. So must wait to unleash them.

She has since been neglected a bit.. Now I'm feeling bad for her pistils as I type this...
