We are getting a late start this year but here we go! 3 seeds popped and above dirt now! From left to right we have Purple Haze, Purple Trainwreck and Cheese! They will spend roughy 2 weeks in this homemade computer box I made a few years ago for starting plants in. One fan in and one going out and 3 lights! I will be putting them outside in a week or two! Come join the purp and cheese ride!

Does anyone have any tips for either of these strains? This is my first time growing them! Purple haze is G13 and Purple Trainwreck is Humbolt Seed Org.

How many hours of light you getting right now? Should be fun to watch, you might just be cropping before the rest of us are even midway through flower.

They were only getting 16 hours in the box and now 14+ outside. They should go full term! All my other plants in the past have harvested in sept/October depending on strain! At least I hope they do! The rate they are taking off at now they will be pretty big. They get about 7 hours of direct sunlight daily.

When you say tropical it makes me think equator. Which maintains around 12 hours of light a day depending on latitude year around. Did I assume wrong?

We are in a "as tropical as it gets" state for the US. Does that help? We are right at 14 hrs of daylight/ day. So did and you didn't I guess! Lol

In Hawaii we get a maximum of about 13:26 and minimum of 10:50 hours a day. Because we are near the equator. In a tropical climate. Within the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn on your map. No negativity, just facts. Have a great day. Best of luck.

Purple Haze and Cheese are in their final home! 20 gal smart pots in FFOF soil. Purple Trainwreck will be transplanted next weekend.
