Location stripping

I was under the impression that the site now strips information from pictures. It seems it does not.

Could we please make this a priority? I use a camera and not a ph but allot of our members use phones and assume the site strips data, like other cannabis pages do.

What do u mean? Do u mean that RIU strips info from pics automatic? Or is "my forum" another forum? Because RIU doesn't.

Apologies I missed a word they can use my thread in this support forum on how to do it

So the site itselt doessn't strip exif automatically? There seem to be some overall understanding that it does, maybe needs some clarification in that matter.

We have stated it does not strip several times exactly why we have a thread on a how to

We can’t force people to read staff announcements sadly people tend to spread misinformation or just expect something else

Literally cannot go to someone’s house and force them to listen to me

Sure, no problemo. I got info about site stripping exif from OP.
Guess all fine then, up to user taking care of security.

if you’re concerned about your privacy on the internet you as an adult should make sure your gps is turned off
Every other platform in the world shouldn’t be your scapegoat for personal privacy and useage you wanna protect yourself take it into your own hands

Again I can’t force you to read the several admin posts on the topic you choose not to search or read them
You choose to only use this one

Calm down. I have no problem with this, I have gps turned off. I just informed another user that he had his gps info in his pics. Then i got a message from another user, he thought RIU was stripping data.
As you may see, i'm not the thread starter.

Just forget it. I thought i was doing something good making RIU aware of a possible security issue.
I regret that, will keep my nose out in the future.

Or use a GPS spoofer...turn it on, set location and make your pictures wherever you want them. Like colorado, or guam.....

I'm not asking for me. Read the original post again. I'm asking the site to considerer just doing what other sites like Grass city does. (yes, I know a shitty site). It will help protect members and apart from making an income this site is about helping people.
