Loads of newbie questions, please help

I have a 24’ x 16’ 8.5’ room and want to grow 100 orange bud plants and im planning on having the following setup, let me know if its sufficient enough and if not what should I change

· 20x 600W HID lamps in cooltube reflector

· 5x 6 or 8” hyper fans (6” has 315 CFM and 8” has 710 CFM) 1 fan per 5 lights

· For the lights cooling Intake will be passive. Air will be drawn and blown out directly from the outside without carbon filters

· 1x 6” or 8” hyper fan room exhaust with a carbon filter and half the cfm intake, so roughly 160 or 355

· 4 large capacity dehumidifier and 1 humidifier just in case

· 2x 3kw heaters for the winter

· 2 9000btu air conditioners

So my questions are

· Are 20x 600w HID lamps enough for 100 plants? Each grow lamp will have 95,000 Lumens

· If I use this setup that means I will have 120w per plant, I know everyone says that 100w per plant is fine, but they also say that you usually get 1g per watt but orange bud can produce 200+g so should I use more lights to make the total watt per plant 200? Or should I just reduce the amount of plants?

· If I increase the amount of plants to say 200, would the yield be the same as 100 plants as I have the same amount of lumens and watts?

· How many plants do you think I will be able to grow in this room with the this setup and how many with another setup but in this room, so lets say can I fit 40 lamps and the appropriate amount of fans etc inside

· What size fan should I use 6” or 8” and would it be sufficient enough to cool down my room

· Would I have smell issues if I don’t use a carbon filter in the light cooling system or will the exhaust be smell free as it will be closed system

· Is room exhaust and intake ok?

· Do you think I will need any heaters in the winter because the room intake will come from the outside and where I live it gets really cold?

· The exhaust pipe will be about 5 meters from outside of the room, do you think it will be really loud outside from all of the exhaust air or will 5 meters of pipe quit down the sound.

· How else can I improve the setup?

· What yield can I expect with the right the right nutrients and air conditions




On a separate note, what is the maximum yield per plant for og kush, girl scout cookie and blue dream?

tldr, BUT the max yield for a plant is infinity assuming it grows and grows and takes over the universe before flowering...

3-4 oz on a good run. Gram per watt is iffy to guage. But yea 1g per watt under a meter squared, I think, is the average that people say. Some extra time and multiple main colas can bring your yield up to 2-3g/w, I have seen.

so if i have 200 plants with this set up would that not be worth it as ill get the same ammount as with 100 plants because the ammount of watts will be the same? or do you think ill still get 3-4oz per plant? and what about the cooling?

That's quite an investment and undertaking. It will take a few grows to get things dialed in. Maybe start by outfitting a quarter of the room then build on that over time.

Have you grown MJ before? Don't tell me, but I have to wonder what you will do with all of that expensive weed. I don't see the margins being very good unless you are growing trees outdoors.

nope first time that’s why i need a lot of help. I have a pain condition so will need a lot of weed, and it rather grow loads at once then use it over a year. How many cooltubes lamps can i have per 1 6” fan with 315 CFM and 1 8” fan with 710 CFM/ and do you now how much air can go through 6" and 8" ducting? i don’t want to end up having loads of fans on 1 duct and the air not being able to travel through it that fast, also is it better to have 1 strong exhaust fan with passive inlet or 2 weaker onces, 1 for inlet and 1 for exhaust. Also, realistically what’s the maximum amount of plants can i grow in a room this size

also, money isnt really an issue but would like to spend as least as possible
