no SRV but a virtuoso guitarist nonetheless

I always loved that Derek & the Dominoes version.
But Hendrix rules over anything else.

I think I'd have to go Hendrix, if for no other reason than it's his song. That said, when I listen to the SRV version it hits me right in the feels.

Sidenote: if you listen to the SRV version on good headphones, during some of the quieter parts you can hear his amplifier humming.

John does a pretty good job on most bluesy songs. His voice was still a little young on this one.
