Way to much leaves. Cut all that yellow stuff. Its all about the new growth. Plant doesn't have roots yet to support the foliage. U want some for photosynthesis but not much like the ones with cut leaves. Even when all leaves die if u got a couple spots of new growth u gd. They dont need much light. Have seen plenty bounce back and thrive.

For me cloning works best just in rapid rooters with a humidity dome and heat mat. The sprayer type systems didn’t work very well for me but some have good success with them.
I put my cuts in cold water as soon as I cut them from the mother then I dip into cloneX then into rooting powder and into wetted rapid rooted and put into the humidity dome and set heat mat under the dome setup and let it roll for like 7 days and I normally get 100% success rate with this method.

CloneX AND rooting powder? Why?

Yep. Get rid of the rest of the yellowing leaves. They not doing there job no more. Your clones will be fine. Its the easy part now. Just wait for roots.
Cloning is not hard as people make it out to be. I don't do none of that crap alot if folks do. No heating pad no dome no misting no cloning gel. U don't have to pick the healthiest branch of the best plant.
I've cloned parts from topping. Cloned from plants in late bloom (monster cropping). Made 5 clones from one branch. Took cutting strait to water and soil.
U just cut it put it in soil and keep it moist not saturated and there u go easy peezy.
I rather keep small clones instead of mothers. Easier to keep a few at a time.

I just use both for no specific reason at all just had a bunch so decided to use it and it seems to work just fine. I’m sure one or the other would work just as well but I did try just the powder once without the gel first and they did root very well but I may have neglected them more on that try than normal. I will try just the gel next batch and see how the results are

I think CloneX has around 3x the IBA in it vs most powders (unless you're using Hormex).

100 ways to skin a cat. I might've tried them all. For me strait to soil/coco is the fastest for roots. U dont even need root pods and all that other junk. Made a lil cloning station for under $2 with a high result rate. Dont stress it. Thats why usually u grab more then u need incase they don't all make it. Looks cheap and ghetto I know but who cares long as it gets the job done.
