Hey guys, I saw that CNN special about weed. Not that I needed some stupid fuck "doctor" to realize Marijuana actually has medical purposes! NO SHIT! :wall: Anyway I was watching the part about the kid with seizures and it broke my heart and actually made me cry. Yeah Yeah I'm a pussy! But I heard there is a waiting list because nobody grows the CDB plant that is low in THC. I have tried to find out if there is anyone in WA that needs a grower to grow this for them! I have a couple of spots that I could fill. Basically I have the ability and the desire to help I just don't know where to get in contact with these people. I am not looking for money either, this is my contribution back to make up a little for being such a shithead when I was a kid! Seriously any help would be much appreciated. If anyone can PM me with info that would be sweet, or maybe a good place to start looking for people that really need this medicine. thanks guys and gals, :peace:

"In some animals, CB1-receptor antagonism resulted in seizure durations that were protracted to a level consistent with the clinical condition status epilepticus. Furthermore, we determined that during an short-term pilocarpine-induced seizure, levels of the endogenous CB1 ligand 2-arachidonylglycerol increased significantly within the hippocampal brain region. These data not only indicate anticonvulsant activity of exogenously applied cannabinoids but also suggest that endogenous cannabinoid tone modulates seizure termination and duration through activation of the CB1 receptor"... cbd is a cb1 antagonist the opposite of what you want for seizures...you would be wanting a sativa dominant low in cbds

Right now I am contacting some local large MMJ groups. I don't care what MJ plant it is Ill grow that bitch! And I'll grow it well! Thanks for all the replies, I don't think it will be hard to find someone on a low income to give free medicine to that doesn't get you high! Well at least I hope not!

That study was conducted with animals, and their anatomy is different. It has been proven that higher ratio of CBD in relation to THC, when ingested has anti-spasmodic tendencies, due to the higher concentrations of CB2 receptors in various vital organs throughout our bodies.

Seriously bro I can easily go find 5 more studies. Cb1 receptors are naturally activated during a seizure to modulate excitement. A seizure isn't caused by muscle spasms you should really do some more research. Again cbd is a cb1 antagonist as my study shows and others with cb1 knockout rats that seizures were increased. A sativa dominant strain low in thcv high in cbc is a bit more specific

I'm not trying to argue with you in any way. I apologize if I seemed to be. I actually appreciate the knowledge because everyone else and according to what I've read, the potential medicinal value of cannabis lies in the proportion of CBD to the other active cannabinoids. I'd really like to read some of your studies so I can help to better educate myself.

Cbd is still produced on hemp plant and readily available, making it a quick cheap legal cannabinoid to study. Right now studies are focusing on cbd because of that and the fact it doesn't get you high.... I could provide some articles but their are many other cannabiniids with real medical benifits and unfortunately you gotta get high.. but do some research on the big ones thcv cbc cbda cbg and a few terpenes are coming in to better view... cbds do have certain medical properties but your missing a large portion of medical benefits from stains that have those high cbd ratios but low thc content..

Well I am still up for any useful info. Some of the places I am contacting are telling me to get with local dispensaries and those people are rip off artists! Yeah I can grow this shit and give it to them for free? Or are they going to tell one of THEIR paying customers that I will give it to them for free? That's just bad business!

This seems to contradict the treatment of the little girl in the CNN special. Please explain. Are you saying the little girl is on the wrong medication (it is a low thc high cbd based medication.) ?

Well I don't want to say that she could do better on a different med...but according to everything I've read and my knowledge of the endocannabinoid system, I do believe that to be the case. . I will keep my opinion to myself the political side of things and my opinion about Gupta.
