Lime green growth few days into flowering

A lot of people are going to say that this isnt an issue but it appears to be a little bit more lime green then it ought to be,
I gave them some aspirin in their last watering (only aspirin and water) Because of a broad mite issue I had that I have wiped out for the most part (Please do not start telling me about broad mites, I have been researching them for weeks and have them under control as much as I can organically.

Basically I’m wondering if I overdid it on aspirin because that’s the only thing I could see that would be causing the extra lime green growth.
I haven’t grown this strain so potentially it just gets that lime green for a week or so

So I don’t know 100% if this is an issue but some are more lime green than others which is making me wonder

It’s a micro nutrient issue as far as I can tell. Epsom salts would be a good place to start in my opinion. It also looks like a fairly minor issue that should resolve once addressed. Can you provide more info about your medium/source water/nutes?

Agree on more info regarding your feeding.

Yes. More info would be helpful but guessing I’d say a slight Fe deficiency starting.
Yeah. Micronutrient issues in soil are mostly caused by overwatering if in soil from my understanding. I’ve also had micronutrient problems in the past, but mine were due to using RO water and coco coir without giving enough cal/mag/iron/sulfur etc. So many possible scenarios though, hard to say without more info.

I am in a fully organic sub cool-based super soil with some added azomite, PH is 6.5 well water, This is I believe the fourth or fifth day of flowering I have to look,

I can provide more info if needed but there really hasn’t been a lot done to these, like almost nothing, I could see them potentially needing some magnesium but I feel like with the extra azomite they should be getting some

I could see it being an over watering thing because I watered him a little bit at a time a couple days in a row and they could’ve contain more water than I thought,
But they arent drooping or anything, they look really healthy except for that light green new growth

I have a plant in super soil myself right now. I water every 5-6 days or so, half or maybe even less of a gallon. It really doesn’t take as much water as people tend to want to give. If soil is overwatered, not only can it potentially drown your roots (thick, saturated media with no oxygen available to the roots), it can create pest problems and nutrient absorption/deficiency issues.

Have you done a slurry test on your soil? I bought pre-made super soil and when I slurry tested it the pH was 8.3, which is more alkaline than is optimal for cannabis. I added some mag sulfate (not much, top dressed about a teaspoon) as well as Gypsum/Elemental Sulfur to slowly bring pH to target. pH is now around 6.8-7 last I checked. In soil, micronutrient deficiencies are rarely actually caused by a lack of nutrients in the medium. They are much more commonly caused by a problem with uptake by the roots. I’d look to improve watering technique and/or check the pH of your medium before adding anything more. Your SS should have plenty of available nutrients.

Plenty of drainage? Well aerated?

Looks pretty good imo.

The yellow tops indicate a slight calcium deficiency to me.
I'd consider a little gypsum for a quick calcium fix. It won't directly affect ph, and is around 200x more readily available than lime.
Have the yellow tops shown soon after watering?
If it's not being slightly overwatered (drainage, aeration etc), that's what i'd consider doing, if anything.
Wouldn't surprise me at all, if it's back to normal in a day or two anyway.

Nice plants, good luck the eest of the way.

That lime green in the new growth is just a sign that the plants are growing fast and it takes a while for them to green up.

Relax. I got that going on with my seedlings and vegging plants right now and it's a good thing unless they stay light once mature.

What's the deal with the aspirin and how does that fit into your 'organic' growing. Nothing organic about aspirin. Made in a big chemical factory.

It’s the only thing I use that’s not organic and I only used it because I had a broad mite issue

What does aspirin do to get rid of mites?

I know a little aspirin will help cut flowers and Xmas trees stay around a little longer but never heard about it being used as a pesticide.

Did it work?
