If only 1" of the rockwool is wet and sitting in water then how does the seedling get water before the roots can grow down to the water? Should I just manually spray them?

Im gonna take some more pics in a cpl of days but I have a bad feelin Im gonna have to start over, had to dump 1of 5 so far with only one looking like it might make it

You need to manually water the cube until you can see a root at the bottom, then fill the water level up to about 1/2 an inch below the rockwool. This way the bottom of the rockwool gets wet by the bubbles.

At what point is it ok to let the roots stay submerged in water? Also, I assume very little water when manually watering the rockwool?

Looks like two of them have roots coming out the bottom so hopefully those 2 get saved.

Is there any way to save the damaged roots? or is it just to late and dead? A couple look rough but haven't fallen over, but they haven't grown either
