is it koo if i leave my 400mh on like 12 hours and finish the other 12 with cfl in veg state. that dont confuse the plants going from a 400 mh to a 6500 low watt cfl to get them going till i turn the hps back on ? its just that the compact florus arent as bright and i dont want the switch (even same light spectrum) to screw shit up. d

Have I got this right? You want to change from 400 MH to low watt CFL, then change back when the plants are big enough? How old are the plants? I can't see it being a problem, but what do i know?

naw all im saying is, right now my girls are 1 week old, 10, under a 400mh. I always run 24 light for veg, not 18/6 i dont have a timer yet, and im using my closet. so that 400mh at night is like standing outside in the sun lol. so till i get proper venting, Ive been turning my 400 on about 6 in the morning now leaving it on till 8 or so tonight, then ill turn on the cfl (since it aint so bright and i can sleep. lol) just thro the nite tho. then i put the mh back on again ? c what im sayin ... im just switching the lights at night when i sleep, but the cfl are not near the wattage my 400 has.

No, that won't bother 'em. (I turn my air pump right down at night so I can sleep as well) Light is light, and she'll take what she can. Until I got a tent I would time darkness for my going to bed, I'd get a timer and have at least one hour darkness, and try to get to sleep then. But then again, there's not a lot we wouldn't do to keep our ladies happy eh?

card board is cheap n easy to work with i veg under flo n then switch to hps, no exp with mh but the flos give good node length... jmo
