arite ive done a lot of researcch bout lighting and i now have a 1000 watt convertible mh hps light. and im going to use the mh for veg and the hps for flower but someone jus told me if i have a 1000 watt mh for veg i need 4000 watts of hps for flower, is this true???? or can i jus use the 1000 watt mh for veg and the 1000 watt hps for flower im only growing 10 plants as well.

The person that told you that was an idiot. You're doing far better than most new growers, and 10 plants under a 1000 watt is fine if they are relatively small. Same wattage for veg and flower is no problem.
