ive been reading alot about flowering with metal halides. and i havent heard anything about the speed of the cycle when using them.i was told that using the halide for flowering would slow down the process greatly.also right now i veg for a week or two under a 600 halide 18/6 then go to 600 hps for the 12/12.i was wondering if i use the halide on the 12/12 for the majority of the cycle and then the hps for a week or two at the end.i know running both is ideal but i cant do it.im not doing this commercialy but i dont want to lose to much yeild on the same token im looking for quality seeing that its for myself.

use the MH for vegging and HPS for flowering, im sure you have read the spectrum for MH is white/blue, this is great for vegging, and HPS is orange red for flowering, but i have seen people use MH from start to finish just fine, but if you had a choice HPS is just great for both cycles, but hey if you have an HPS ballast and you have a MH conversion bulb by all means change em out for the different cycles
