does it matter how many watts the light bulb is. i have a 15 watt florescent light set up. do i need to go higher to produce good growing. and is cool white good enuff to grow buds on the plant. basically what im trying to say is can i use the type of lighting until i get ready to harvest my plant. or do i need to go up a knoch on the wattage. and would some one explain what does watts mean

Ok you must use a 1000 watt bulb in a 1000 watt ballast no mixing watts of bulbs and ballast unless you want a nice explosion and fire.If you do go ahead and stick a 250 bulb in a 100 watt ballast and plug er in.And no a 15 watt bulb wont work to grow a plant. Is it a cfl or tube florescent? either way you need lots more light looottttsssss more

Nope, it matters how many lumens it puts out and what color range the light emits. Therefore, cool whites won't be good for producing buds.
