HEY!!!!! It doesn't really MATTER!
You hear people everyday. It is a weed, it is easy to grow. This is very true. People make it difficult to grow this weed.
Now even though this WEED is easy to grow, it is hard to get this weed to produce nice BUDS. You are reading way to much into the growing of the weed plant. Plant the seed in the third eqaunax of the third moon of jupiter if you want, I highly doubt the time of day or month will help, unless it is frozen outside and you are going for a outdoor grow.

Plant is after you had sex with three women, this is what has always worked best for me.

haha....i know people spend way too much time babying their plant but all i asked was a simple question to make sure the seed sprouts....

people have different ways of doing things but what i do is once the seed breaks the surface i put under the light but i know some people put them staight under as soon as there planted.what ever works for you

I always thought for the first few weeks you do 24h lighting, then switch it to 18/6, 16/8 whatever you're doing.

Sorry, I was to baked last night to understand what your question truely was.

Yes, when your seed breaks the top of the soil put a light on them. but have that light about 3 times higher then normal, until your plant gets used to the light, then slowly start lowering it closer to the plant.

To much light to early could dry the little thing out.

I'm running a 600W HID and it's just not cost effective to run it for 24 hours straight. Heat is an issue too. If I was using flourous I'd probably go 24.

haha its cool.....thanks for the help

It's harder to grow tomatoes than it is to grow weed. I'd leave the lights on, as it gives the seedlings something to 'aim' for.
