Lights on or off drying

Greetings fellow farmers I’m in the last week or two into flower and would like your opinion. When I start to harvest should I cut trim whole plant and hang in tent with light off or on? Or should I cut and trim branches and hang in tent with lights off or on?

I think most people would agreee lights off. Interestingly enough I just listened to a growcast episode this morning where a guest from rootedleaf gave a whole debate on lights on . Personally I dry lights out and try to keep my temps in the low 60s and my rh in the 50-60 range Inorder to produce a slower dry.

Lights on will destroy the trichomes

Hang whole plant lights off for 4-5 days, trim after 4-5 days and if it's dry enough then start the cure process, if it's still in need of drying check daily until it seems good.

There's a reason bud is stored in dark places or in bags/tinted glass.....sunlight destroyed trichomes on finished buds, so definitely don't do lights on - tbh - this is the first time I've heard it debated, I thought everyone did no lights

So drying in a totally dark room/tent would be the way to go. Seems like I have been doing it wrong since forever and keep my tent temperature below 80 during the time light was on 12/12 was almost impossible down here in the dirty south during summer months. Thanks my fellow farmers
