Currently running my first grow which I started from seed in my grow tent with a 1k equivalent LED.
I’m about to switch to flower soon and will be taking some clones so I don’t have to start from seed next time.
I’ll start these in solo cups and eventually transfer to 3.5 gallon buckets and I’m planning on keeping them in a closet I have avalible which is 2’x5’ and has a sturdy shelf which I could hang a light(s) from.
For now I’ll just have the clones in there but eventually I’d like to keep 1 mother plant in there for future clones. Since I just have 1 tent some vegetative growth wil also occur in the closet area before I move them over for further vegging and flowering.
I don’t really need fast growth from the plants I intend to keep in this closet and I’m mainly concerned with keeping the mother healthy, avoiding light stretch, rooting my clones and starting any new seeds I get. As a result I’m wondering if I could get by with a couple 6500k cfls on light splitters hanging down or if it’s be smarter to just get a 4ft T-5 like this: https://www.amazon.com/4lamps-DL844s-Fluorescent-Hydroponic-Fixture/dp/B00HEYCRI8
