lights affect on growth

Have another question...my plant is a week old and 2 inches and I have been keeping my lights on for 18 hrs and off for 6 hrs but haven't used a timer. So sometimes I was a couple mins off from the time I was suppose to turn on n off the light. Also I realized there is a little spot where light can leak in. Will that affect growth even if I cover the spot and get timer asap?

if you're in veg you don't have to worry about that. you can leave the lights on 24/7 if you want

light leaks are not a problem during veging nor are variations in times on. You can just leave the light on all the time if you want, you'll get more growth. In the same number of days.

ur fine until u hit flowering stage, then u gotta be on top of ur light cycle

light leaks during flowering is a real problem. I would fix the problem now so when the time comes you dont end up with hermies.
