Lighting?

It's good to keep the lights on 24 hrs when seedlings are concerned. They need relatively warm and humid temperatures as their roots are not fully formed, so moisture uptake is limited. Once the plants reach the vegetative stage (approx. 2-3 weeks from germination), you can put them into bigger containers with better drainage and switch the lights to a more natural light cycle (18/6). Only switch your lights to 12on/12off if you wish to flower your plants. Some people do this from seedling, but yield will be small.

24/0 to make them grow like thc said, you can leave it 24/0 through veg or do an 18/6 if you perfer (natural light cycle and keeps the power bill down a bit). Then when you like their size switch to 12/12. Remember you must consider how big your grow space is when you veg for a long time because once you flip to flower your plants will double to triple in size. So if you have a 12" plant during veg itll be 24"-36" by the time you harvest it depending on the strain.
