Can I use a 60 watt light to grow my plant and how long would it take.

a 60w CFL? or a 60w equivilant? Look through the forum for micro grows.

Not if its incandescent.

You Cant grow with 60 watts of anything. If you are trying to grow just one plant I would use (4) 23watt 2700k CFL's and (4) 23watt 6500k CFL's (8 Cfl bulbs altogether). I will give you enough light for good yeild and potency with Low heat and cost. You will also need (light sockets) and (Light Y splitters) You can get these from LOWES.
