Lighting set up

I have 2 1000 watt de lights and Agro tech xl reflectors . 2 4x4 tables .
drom what I have been reading if it’s telling me not to handg them directly over the center of the tables because of the intensity of the overlapping light but I can’t figure out exactly where I am supposed to hang then .
I was thing about starting with a 1/3 off set as a starting point .
If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Not sure what you mean, typically we center a light over each 4x4. 1kW DE lights, depending on the reflector, usually have a rectangular footprint and are also over powered for a 4x4.

The overlapping light means that you don't have lesser intensity between the two lights, also you have light hitting those plants / branches from two sides. So we want overlapping light.

How high you can hang the lights will make a difference with DE's. Usually DE's are best at just hanging high and letting all the lights in a room blend hitting plants from many angles. In the case of lower ceilings we are more or less lighting the area directly below the light, this makes for hot spots and whatnot. You may find that you need to dim them if the plants get too tall.

FWIW you might take a look at my setup, I use two DE's over 4x8 rows.

Light is expensive and wasting it is a sin in this world. If your lights have to be aimed at the floor than get lesser powered lights. As Reno says, 1000 over 4x4 is usually great.

That’s exactly what I was going to do center it over the table and I have plenary of room so If the footprint of the light is larger than 4x4 I can pretty easily build a bigger table and put more plants on it.
but I came across an article fromgavita thathad a layout plan for 1k de lights and was explaining that putttinv them over a 4x4 like you would with a single end 1k was wrong .
but it seems like most people just hang them like normal , and don’t have any problems
