Lighting Questions on 4x8 Grow Tent

ok i got a 4x4 grow tent now.. but as u may know 5 plants just aint small enough for in there.
so i got a 4x8 tent coming.
now for lighting i got 1000w dimmable digital switchable ballast, with air cooled xxxl hood 6" sealed.
600cfm inline fan and filter and a 200cfm booster.
my question is .. if i center this light in the room and give them some gaps between each other.. will 1000w be enough for 4x8? also i been thinking about a 6' light mover.. but will that effect my air cooled hood vents? any ideals

Not without a light mover. Frankly if I had a 4x8 I'd use 2 or even 3 600's.

You would need the light mover if you are trying to use what you have and cover the whole tent. 2 600w min to cover without a mover. But the big boys would do 2 1000w or 3 600w. Hell maybe 3 1000w.
And you can run AC hoods with a mover just fine.

But if you don't plan on upping that plant count, your 1000w should be enough for your 5 girls without a mover. They should take up the whole thing even with plenty of spacing.

my space is roughly 4 by 9 and i use 3 x 600, but i could just cover it with 2x600
no way would a single 1000w spread out that width
go for 2 or 3 x 600

for this second im trying to do with what lighting i got.. at best .. get a light rail/mover.. im not gonna grow any more then what i got.. cause of felony limit. out here is 4 or less is mis and 5 or more is felony.. so u can see why i just stay with what i got for plants..
btw .. its nirvana northern lights... fems.. omg my 4x4 tent i got now.. is like so cramped on them 4.. i had to get a 4x8 its on its way though.. be here this week..... ill keep u posted.. but still want to see more comments.. and ideals.. thanks everyone

but also keep in mind.. im not gonna prob used the whole tent.. ill prob j ust use the center of it.. gives me room to work.. but i dont know.. i never had indoor setups before.. i always been outdoor... so i guess learn as i go along

get a large parabolic reflector they spread the light out more, even so it will not cover your space, the adjust wing reflectors are quite good too when set to spread out the light
a light mover is more expensive than another light, you would most likely yield more but the bud density will suffer, if you mount the light high to cover more space or use a light mover

i am afraid you will need to spend some money to get where you want to be, look at orca grow film, this stuff is very good at spreading the light out more evenly
but again its gonna cost ya lol
your 1000w light will only really cover just over half the space of your new tent

It's only 4 plants. Your tent is really going to be 4x5ish of growing space and 4x3 of work/storage/ooohing and awwwing space.
Your 1000w is just fine on it's own now that I know all the details. I would put it on one side so that you can get the refection off 3 sides, not just 2. With that little extra grow space you will definatley be able to yield 2units with 1k if you now what you're doing. A 5x5 tent might have really fit you need, but you got the right stuff to succeed so grow on man.

ya i had 5 but i cut the 5th one done for clones to go outdoors.. but those will go from the t5 ho to outdoors once they are rooted.. so those wont be in the tent.. now also let me also detail that the clones i took are from a plant that was preflowering so i should be able to get monster clones.. but none of this has to do with the tent.. the tent is only for the 4 flowering plants..

If you are only doing 4-5 plants and would just like the extra room to move around and work your 1 1000w will be fine just keep them under the foot print of the light if you are trying to fill the tent you will need more light , but it sounds like you just want the extra room to get in there and move around and water without trampling your plants.

exactly.. that and i hear that since i just fliped to 12/12 about a week ago they still got about double the size to go on the NL from nirvana..

ok guys here is a update of my tent.. i dont know if i should just get another 600 to add to my tent or another 1000 and dim it down to 600 since my other light is dimmable to. or add a light mover, what u guys think? or another ideal ?
