Lighting Questions for the pro's

If i go with something less intense than HID(fluorescent) to keep heat down for my veg. cycle but switch to HPS for flowering, can I still yield similar to same????
 
ya,,,,,fluorescents are recommended to veg and hps to flower. the veg is just the get it some height and foliage.
 
Heat just makes for slow slow growth and HPS and MH get mad hot. I just dont want them to stretch to much from weak light.

my hps is cooler than all the cfl's I had..... I had a pretty good grow from cfl's, but then I got a hps and stigma's came out of every direction.

hmm,,,never tried it,,,, but i usually do a foliar spray of water in veg after a long light cycle to cool them off
