lighting question...

ok here goes.
what can i use for vegging in place of MH?
i have CFLs for seedlings, and clones
and i have HPS for flowering
i dont want to have to buy ballest mh and hood
if there is another rout??
i have diffrent rooms for each step
clones, veg, flower, and cure
so the mh/hps switchable ballest and hood that i bought does me no good lol

I use a 2'x2' 4 bulb T5 florescent. I can start 6 plants into veg. They are a step up from T12 shop lights. You can order T5 veg lights. It's what I do. I have no need for MH. If I need more than six plants in veg then I can buy 4'x4' 12 bulb lights that are T5.

Right now I use two 400w HPS for my short flower room.
 
for veg you can use reg ol t 12 fluorescent from home depot or lows.... just keep the light close to the plant, I use t5 and t12, I don't see any differences in growth rate.

im new too, but from EVERYTHING I have raed u want @ least 5000k to 65000k for veg. state. 27000k for flowering. or u can mix the lights throughout the grow cycle, but if u do this then make sure u have 1 or 2 27000k for every 5000 or 6500k. 3000k to 4000k i don't THINK is any good by what i read, the plants don't really use certain spectrums of light.

i hope that help.....but u might want to ask a more seasoned vetern....but since i saw there was no other replies after= that i do it.
