Lighting Question

Hey what's up everybody hope you guys had a good 420.

Anyway Im getting a 150 watt HPS light and I was just wondering how close to the plants can I put it without burning them and how many plants can I have under it at a time. Any help would be great! Happy Growing

You can put the plants as close as you can without burring it. put your hand under the light and see how close you can get your hand before it get uncomfortable. As far as the amount of plants, i wouldn't put more then 2 under it at one time.

I run cool tubes and the plants can grow right into them with out burnin.Takes the heat problem right out.I runn 600's with the tube.That 150 should do a couple shorter plants no problem.Do the hand check if ya's dont have a cooltube and keep it as close as ya can..Fan blowing accross the tops of the plants will help the heat problem too.

Yeah I've actually been reading about those cool tubes and those are what I'll go with if I can find a kinda mid-price one. But I guess I'll have to put my hand on a litlle higher setting then. I've never had to deal with heat as a problem cause I usually grow with CFL's but I wasn't to impressed with the yield I got so I'm getting a better setup. The bud was good though.
