I only have 8, 23w. 2700k cfls on my indoor plant since I started flowering (about 3 weeks ago). I just wanted to know if I should have at least one 5500k bulb also on my plant? Is it to late to add a couple 5500k bulbs, or will the 2700k be sufficient enough? Thanks!!!
If you have some 5000K or 6500K bulbs laying around then definatelly put them to use but if your considering buying them then unless your loaded i would decide against that. (Full Spectrum 5000K and Daylight 6500K Bulbs) are for vegitation but you are 3 weeks into flowering which would be of no use to you. If anything buy more 2700K light my friend or buy some flowering nutes if you already havent.
Flowering is best supported by 2700K but 5000K-6500K is full spectrum light which means it literally covers ALL spectrums from infrared through near-ultraviolent. Or in simpler terms, all wavelengths that are useful to a plant.
So if you only had the money to pick one bulb to grow the entire time i would pick a 5000K-6500K bulbs. But if i had money in the bank then i would but four 6500K Cfl's for vegitation and then when i switch to 12/12 i would switch those out for 2700K Cfl's.
