Lighting Question? help needed please

new grower. I’m having the same problem with lightiing. I went out and got a 90W LED TRI-BAND UFO with 450~460nm Blue & 620~630nm, 660nm Red with a ratio:8(red): 1(blue) when I put that in my plants started to die.I called the Place where i got the plants they told me that the plants needed more light intensity. So today I ordered a T5 HO with 6-6700k bulbs. The tep. in my grow box Is around 80-88F.will this be enough lighting. my grow box is
50"T x 20"D x 36"W

You may as well throw that UFO in the trash or throw it over some clones or something. It's just too weak to do much for you.

Now, the T5HO's are freakin awesome. I veg with a 6 bulb T5HO 4' and I wouldn't change that for anything. But for flowering HPS is definitely the way to go.

how much heat does a 400w hps bulbs put out im having a problem with cooling already

They get a little warm, but if you get an air cooled 400 going it doesn't hardly generate much heat. You are having temp problems using and LED light?

yeah my room is about 75-78f my if i close my cabnet up with the led it will get in the hight 90s thats with a 85cfm fan venting into my attic

The Chinese LED's are a waste of time. I use the new Lumigrow LED lights and they ROCK. Spend the money and get the results... Here are some pics.

My box is 3x4x7. I have a non-cooled 400w hps. I believe my vent fan is around 260cfm, and my temp runs around 77-80 on a hot day.

I should not that I have my veg room setup with the T5 HO's and my flower room has a 600w HPS. It started with a 400w, but I upgraded because with the air cooled hood I was able to keep the temps so low.

My veg room runs about 81 degrees while my 600w HPS 4x4x7 flower tent hangs around 78 degrees. It's amazing how cool they stay with air cooled hoods so I think you'll be okay with the 400w as long as you air cool it.

I do, In the grow i'm pairing it with a 1000w MH and Bloom is two LED lights with two 1000w HPS. Seems to work GREAT!

So how do you know the LED's are helping? Have you tried growing without them and comparing yield vs. growing with them?

the 90w ufo led buy its self started to kill my plants and the i had the light about 2" from the plants

i added 3 T5 ho cfl lights and they started to turn a little still not a nuff so i took them back to the store so i bout a 6 pack from ebay cant wate to see what they do i just dont know if i should try to use the ufo with the cfl lighting
