Ok hi all just finished unpacking all my grow equipment i just got my new place and ill be setting up 4 flood and drain tables and copying al. b fuct's perpetual harvest method....

Anyways basically i unpacked and found my envirolite 250w broken, and my 600w MH doesnt seem to wanna fire up however the 600w HPS working fine.....

Ive ordered 5 x Great white shark and 5 x Lemon skunk seeds from greenhouse seed co. and they will be here tomorrow, and as soon as they are they will be germ'd and put in rockwool.....but i have a question about the lighting...

Can i use my 600w hps for the seedlings, it would be very very far away or would it be better to use say a normal house bulb until 1st leaves show and then use the 600w...

Also can i veg for a couple of weeks using the HPS its a dual spectrum anyway so its not full hps....???

Anyways keep posted guys im gonna start a journal soon which will include all the setup of the 'titan' budbox which will house my 4 flowering tables and 4 x 600w hps, and ive already setup my XXL budbox which is my mother and clone room, it has 1 x flood table for about 10-12 mothers and will soon have a table with heat mat and humidome for my clones.....

Also i got 5 NL x BB seeds does anyone think i should pop them just to see what they turn out like, my idea is to grow 10-12 mothers for 4 weeks, take 25 clones, let them root in hopefully 14 days and then start filling up the flowering tent 20 to a table with 4 tables, so about 14 weeks from now ill have my 1st harvest and then every 2 weeks after....

Anyway guys let me know about the lighting, the seeds will be here tomorrow and going straight in.......so is it 600w hps at a distance or a desk lamp for first few days, comments welcome.....:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

And for anyone who didnt see i got my journal in my sig yielded 12oz from 6 plants loads of fuck ups along the way but all in all turned out good, check it out

All you need for seedlings is two, two-foot floros in a small ballast. I've used the same bulbs in mine for nine years now.

You can buy the Phillips Plant bulbs at Home Depot.

As soon as the seedlings are strong enough, you can move them under the 600 HPS, but keep it well away from the plants otherwise they will burn.

Hey ViRedd thanks for the advice bro i had a 250w envirolite which broke on me in transit however i tried the 600w MH earlier and it fired up so thats all good, i think im just gonna go get some low watt plant lights just for til i see the first set of true green leaves and then im gonna hit them with the 600w but about 4 foot away and decreasing daily, if i cant find the bulbs i was thinkin of the 600w at 6ft away shouldnt be strong for them at all, but anyways thanks for the info...

Does anyone else have any opinions about a 600w mh 6ft away for seedlings in a propagator which has a black plastic strip in the middle which also blocks some light???? I will post a pic of it if neccessary but its just a propagator lid with a thin black strip on it,comments welcome....:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:
