From a Job site I was walking today. I was given two (250 watt) Mecury Vapor lights., complete. The bulbs are frosty though.
Can I use these in anyway for VEG stage? i. e. change the bulbs, or what ever.... Please, I do not know much about retro fitting items. but it would seem that these items should be usable.


Please any suggetions.
 
Mercury vapor bulbs were lights used in the early days 50s and 60's. They give off a ton of heat and have very little of any usable light spectrum and use more electricty and have porr lumne output.I got 2 sitting here with ballasts and bulbs if someone wants them $45 for the 2 they have cords wired to be plugged in. I used them as shop light for a little while
 
I am with Cali & FF. But I was kind of hoping someone knew how to make some use of them. Oh well, Garbage can here they come.
