My seedlings r just starting to sprout and i need to find out what the light cycle should be? Im using a 24w 6500k cfl

either 24, 20 or 18 hrs on.

I've been doing 24 hours on for years with no problems.

And how do i know when to change the light cycle?

thats a complicated answer, its gonna rely on a lot of factors including the pot and plant size you're growing and the flowering lights

18/6 gives them time to process. 24/0 is only for the first few days to keep the temps up.

This is a very debated topic and you'll get many different answers for many different reasons. Me, personally, I like 24/0 because it saves me from having to switch the light cycle on and off (call me lazy) and it keeps my temps stable. Its very cold in my basement this time of year and if lights are off it can get as low as 60 degrees.
