lighting for flower

I have a 300 W double ended quartz FCL. It gives off ultrviolet radiation. Would this work for flowering 2 plants?

UV can be used as supplementary lighting during flowering to increase resin production, but isn't enough on it's own, you need light in the 2700k colour temperature.
Quartz is a name given to incandescent bulbs, which are about as inefficient as light sources get. They will not grow plants.
You want cfls, or better yet, metal halide for veg and high pressure sodium for flower.
