well i am doing the same but iver got 12 growing in my shed and 3 in my house
at the moment i am using a 3500 lumens cfl for my babies which are in the shed and they are loving it ( check out my thread https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/84914-white-widow-grow.html
and the ones inside which are nearly finished i have only used 4 100w energy savers and i will admit as sugested by lots they wernt enought for a good grow
i am going to buy 4 - 6 5 foot cfls for the 12 which are in my shed.
how many lumens have u got in total ? per plant.....
what sort of budjet are you on
Hi there! I'm new to this as well, but my boyfriend and I have been doing this for about 1.5 months now. After much trial and error, we decided to try out the T5 fluorescents. We were running out of money, and our space is real small, so the heat was a giant factor. The T5's don't get that hot though. We bought a system with 4 - 4' bulbs, and it has 20,000 initial lumen output. So far, so good! Also, it wasn't that expensive, about $130. Personally, I think they're a good choice if you're growing a small crop, as they're bright as hell! Hope this helped!
Thanks for the info. It sounds like your grow is double the size of mine.
I can just fit a two foot flo in there. But thanks anyway![]()
kelvins are more important than the lumens for the difference in veg or flower. find the kelvins first then the highest wattage will give the highest lumens. iv`e never heard of these nor seen them. without the kelvins you dont know what colour spectrum it`s for. if the guy at the hydro store sold you that for a grow light i wouldn`t deal with them. personaly i would return it if you can and get something better. spend cheep spend twice
Oh, well they make them smaller. If you still want, check this out. It's small as hell and give off 10,000 lumens. High Tech Garden Supply
Good luck!
If you want to bud weed, I would start lining the walls with 24" t5 flouro lights. You look like you have a dome shaped small shed that would be perfect for that kind of illumination.
You can also go the CFL rout but you will need a bunch for flowering, lots of them strung all over the plant. Think of a lot, more then that.
Also your walls seem white, but not reflective, think about that. Flouro growing is all about maximizing your lumen output, you nee to think how you can futher improve that.
