Light/Temp question

Oi, I recently received a 1000w hid lamp to replace my 400, but after careful thought me and my dad decided that it might not be a good idea to replace it considering the temperature.... how much temperature increase would there be switching the 400 w out with the 1000? basically would it bring the temp levels over what the NEED to be, we do have ventilation, fans, a/c, but considering the utility bill it would be nice to not have a bill that screams grower.. if u kno what i mean

1k will not jump the electric bill too much; it costs me about 25$ a month to run a 1k.

however, they do get hot. if you have a method to cool a 400w, you should be fine switching to a 1k. imo, plug it up, try it out, run it for over 12 hours to see what happens. then you'll know if it will work for you.
