So i had some issues and nursed my plants back to good health, however i had some of the serated edges of the leaves and new growth start to curl upwards as if light stressed, raised my light and it helped, plants have now grown a bit and the light is still 1m away but they ststarted doing the same, serated edges curling upwards and looking light/ heat stressed, i am running ac and have my tenps and humidity at 26/27 degrees rh 50-60% my light is a 600w hps cooltube so it seems really strange that im having light stress issues, plants are around 6 weeks old although small because i had issues in the begining witg over watering, thanks for your help

Put your hand under the light right above the plant if it's too hot for your hand it's to hot for your plants also do yo have a strong breeze blowing on them?

Maybe raise it up a little more, no mention of what your feeding it at what ppm or ph no microbes mentioned no media mentioned.

That may be a good rule to test for a beginner grower and its true for an easy test for heat on the plant but sometimes/most times its about the health of the plant, the size of the plant and with those two things mentioned mostly about the intensity of the light on the plant.

Hi bernie, are you saying you think the light is too intense? I am running a growlush globe which claims to be super high lumens, seems strange as i have grown with different 600w lights without issue but never a cooltube, maybe the glass is magnifying or has some grease on it causing an issue, im considering removing the glass as i have ac so heat isnt an issue but im now wondering if they are simply drooping as they are thirsty, i did overwater before so have been giving only 2/3 cups of water every 3/4 days so maybe i let them get too dry, i have watered some just now with plain water no nutes and they seem to be coming back up again but i will confirm after a day if thats not my eyes playing tricks on me

Same bulb as mine. Same brand too.
Mine is fixed 6ft high, in my tent.
I reckon you could afford to raise it a couple.

:peace:

Only you know if they are too dry, did you lift them. Now I would say to feed them nutes at a full watering to run off with a pinch of microbes in the water at 650 ppm and phed to 6.5

we can only go by what you tell us if you said that you raised the light and it helped some maybe raise it a little more is what I am saying but now it sounds like they are under fed and under-watered from what you said.

I think the lighting on your plants as far as the pic goes doesnt help, cant tell the natural color of the plant.

on a side note///
One thing to remember is what I do when I have a problem is to slow the grow if you have a sick plant and let it reset itself/heal and one way to do that is to raise the light up some and another is to give it a lower ppm of nutes.
