Light strength change during flower

Hey everyone, I am finishing up some small plants (into week 9 of flower ) my question is this: could I take my larger light off or them to put into my veg tent and then put the smaller light, vs1000, into the flower tent without destroying my yield and quality?

Haha yeah I'm tempted to. I can only seem to find opinions on the topic. The ones in flower are bag seeds so I don't care a ton about em but still wouldn't want to mess them up this late into the game.

Well ... I wouldn't but I'll ask question this anyways. What's the larger light that you want to replace with the VS1000?

Once I've decided that they're ready I've no problem with light for work purposes only, as matter of fact I pulled 2x240w and left 1 240w running today.

They're ready I've made a start but it'll take 4-6 days more to complete harvest.

I tend to back off on light intensity for the last week or so, but only by about 15 or 20 percent. If you're talking a more significant drop in light I'd recommend against it. You've come this far, why deprive them over a measly week?

Yeah that's my idea. I just know these in veg would love it but they can love it in a week or so. Thanks for your help. I'm new to this site and everyone has been cool.

I would think that changing to a lesser lamp would not be a good thing. I would think you would want to increase light intensity not reduce it.

Yeah that's the botanical science behind it. They are bag seeds so I'm ready to get these Tommy Gun popping. Patience is the important thing. Thanks for your help.

Lots of pros lower the intensity at the end. A lot also add in a bluer spectrum towards the end like a MH.

I have never lowered the intensity but have added UV.
Going to looking up the science behind lowering the intensity.
I'm too lazy to do any of that, lol.

UV is awesome though. That's why my favorite combo is LED and CMH. Still need to buy a separate one for when I don't run CMH.

Since this is my first run with this new lamp, HLG Scorpion Diablo, I am going to run it straight. It has no UV but going to run it straight anyway.
On a future run I want to run the LED lamp till the last few weeks and then replace it with my two CMH's for the last few weeks.
Seeing as how I am limited in the number of grows a year I can't do a lot of experimentation.
