1st time grower, love this site and appreciate the help....
So I've got 6 outdoor plants going, 14-24" all close to flowering- 3 indica 3 sativa varieties.
I suddenly noticed that all of the leaves on 1 plant were looking scraggly and slightly twisting - the plant has been extremely healthy up to this point.
After searching these forums I believe I had spider mites due to the light spots grouped together on the top of some of the leaves - apparently cause by the sap sucked out by the bugs. I never could find any mites but I also found black spots (bug shit?) on the bottoms of some leaves and some very light webbing. I immediately started spraying the leaves with a soapy water and I trimmed of the lowest 4 branches. Most of the spots were on lower leaves. I think I got rid of the problem......
Question #1 - Does this sound like spider mites?
Question #2 - This plant was preflowering with a few flowers including pistils, the pistils turned orange and have seemed to die off a bit. Did the bugs cause this and did I do any damage by trimming branches at this stage?
Question #3 - Will the plant resume flowering soon?
I attached 1 photo of the spots and then a side by side shot to show the difference in the 2 same plants.
Thanks everyone.
