I have heard that plants use the light cycle to grow and store alot of energy for the night cycle, which would lead me to beleive that, you may be correct. But I have no proof. I think there may be a better one. But 12/12 is garunteed to work and work well. Some say if its not broke don't fix it. I say If it might could, then you should done, do it.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
12/12 has been a proven time schedule if you use to little light stretching or dying can occur.Light is need for photosynthisis to happen and with out it the plant shuts down to save energy.

I've read that in the 70's and 80's a very popular strand grew in new york... it was known as new york white... the plants grew in the sewer systems underground and got very little light... the result was completely white buds from lack of light so photosynthesis doesn't occur so the plants pigment looses... its pigment...

I originaly read it in Anarchist Cookbook, but also read about it in Hightimes, the book Spliffs and the book weird New York
googled it... Ed Rosenthal told me that he had spent a lot of time trying to track down the rumors of pot growing in New York sewers. Well, I just may have stumbled on the origin of the "New York White" rumors. Despite what Powell may think, plants are not as adaptable as alligators and need light to grow. Another choice quote: "...strangely enough, insects ignore marijuana and do no harm." Strange indeed.

I asked about the light schedule because I put some plants under 9/15 3 days ago... just went to change it to 12/12 and noticed many little pistols starting... still changing schedule

was the light schedule 24/0 before and now 9/15? I have heard rumors of bud swelling from lights being turned out for up to 48 hours before harvest. Are you still on a 9/15 schedule?

no I just changed it to 12/12 I'm now going to be running them from 7 P.M to 7 A.M. instead of 10 P.M. till 7 A.M.... I chose that time because I figure no house guest or meter checker people will be snooping around that room at those times
sucks though. because out of 10 plants only 1 is female pisses me off.

wal mart or Home depot sell them but in a pinch a strofoam cube with a plastic sandwhich bag over it will work

Put your clones inside the cooler light above the cooler, and strech a piece of Syranwrap ( Plastic Cling Wrap ), or other equivilent across the top of the cooler. Now spray the underside (side near clones leaves) with your water or light nutrient solution ( no more then 200 ppm ) an your off. Make sure to open it up about once a day for fresh air.
